Chainsaw Dupont celebrates new EP with month of release parties
Chicago blues guitarist Chainsaw Dupont is happy to announce the release of a new extended play CD featuring two brand new singles, several alternate tracks, new slated for release on "Lullaby", but not recorded before release deadlines. It was re-worked as a jazzy old-school rap, featuring saxophones from Chicago jazzman Mike Finnerty. 2 alternate versions of the "99mph" are included, the "backroads version", a rough-blues arrangement of the funky lead track on "Lullaby", as well as a dance remix provided by Arlo Alexis of Pure Excitement Production Studios, who engineered all the tracks on both "Lullaby" and "Hoodoo Ya". The EP also includes 3 solo acoustic arrangements of "Lullaby" tracks recorded live in the summer of 2004, and a "lost" mix of "Shotgun House".
The new EP also features bonus "enhanced" video which can be viewed on a computer, and sleeve design by world-renowned Hannah Aitchison. Online previewing of the new tracks, as well as advance ordering ($9.98, which includes the option to have your name included in the "special thanks to" section of the liner notes) is available by following this link.
The release will be celebrated with a month of release parties, which will feature prize giveaways and live electric blues with Chainsaw Dupont & the Blues Warriors. A very limited quantity of silver-face advance-promo copies of the EP will be available to collectors for the bargain price of $5 while supplies last. These are the surplus promotional copies, the bulk of which were sent to radio and press.
