Chainsaw Dupont records new CD
Chicago blues guitarist Chainsaw Dupont has completed recording on the followup to his popular debut CD, "Lake St. Lullaby". Over a dozen tracks were completed at a breakneck pace, in just 20 days. The new recording will have a Louisiana feel and be titled "Bourbon St. Breakdown, a sequel of sorts to the debut. The recording features guest appearances by many fine musicians, including Guy Lawrence, Mike Finnerty, Inna Morris Melnikov, Barrelhouse Bonni, LaLa Lagniappe, Nick Drozdoff, and even a guest vocal by Faye "Peaches" Staten. Rhythm tracks were recorded first, with regular Blues Warrior Gene Placsak on drums, laying the groundwork for an extremely layered recording, mixed and mastered once again at Pure Excitement Production Studios (PEPS), with Arlo Alexis at the controls. Steve Pasek of BiG Productions produced and collaborated with Chainsaw on songwriting.
Press Preview and advance radio Promotional copies will be out in the first week of January, with preview parties scheduled throughout the month, but the official release date is scheduled to coincide with Mardi Gras celebrations beginning January 28th.
