Chainsaw Dupont will host "Blue Ribbon Blue Mondays" at Horseshoe

Chicago blues guitarist, Chainsaw Dupont, will present his "Delta Crush" style as part of "Blue Ribbon Blue Mondays" at Chicago's Horseshoe, a barbecue restaurant and music lounge at 4115 N. Lincoln, starting October 24. It's an after-work 90-minute set of blues that both continues the "blue Monday" tradition and sets the stage for Monday Night Football. The set will feature many Chainsaw originals as well as tunes-in-progress that are being developed for the new Memphis-flavored CD, planned for a late Spring 2006 release.

In addition, plans are being made for a series of live acoustic and electric recordings. Two sesions will be recorded at the Uncommon Ground Cafe, at 3800 N. Clark in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, on December 29 and two weeks later on January 12. Electric recordings will be made at the legendary Checkerboard Lounge, 5201 S. Harper, on January 5, as well as at Buddy Guy's Legends, 754 S. Wabash, on February 4.
