Chainsaw Dupont & Blues Warriors record at famed Sun Studio

Chicago guitarist Chainsaw Dupont and his band the Blues Warriors traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to lay down rhythm tracks for their new CD at the legendary Sun Studio, with veteran recording engineer James Lott. Lott has recorded numerous renowned performers during his 20-year stint at Sun, including Grammy-nominated CDs by James Blood Ulmer and Rufus Thomas.

Tracks were recorded in two nights with few overdubs, sandwiched between two 11-hour interstate highway treks.

Horn tracks and severl guest appearances will be recorded at the venerable Delmark Studio in Chicago, under the recording direction of Steve Wagner, who has recorded most Delmark releases of the last 20 years. Wagner and Eric Butkus will also mix and master the CD at Delmark during November.



The CD is scheduled for release in early 2007.
