Chainsaw Dupont signs representation agreement with Songs With Vision
Chicago "Delta Crush" guitarist Chainsaw Dupont has signed a preliminary agreement with Songs With Vision, a Los Angeles-based music marketing company. Songs With Vision, headed by music industry veteran Danny McCloskey, will have rights to market Chainsaw Dupont songs to film, television, and video game projects for soundtrack use. The preliminary agreement lasts until September, 2007, when both parties will determine whether a long-term agreement seems profitable.
The film and television industry is a fertile market for new music, and licensing revenues have become a large part of many artists' annual income. Here's hoping that we start hearing Chainsaw Dupont songs at the local cineplex.
